About the Journal

Energy Modeling and Policy is an international, peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to advancing research on the modeling, analysis, and strategic design of energy systems and policies. The journal aims to provide a multidisciplinary platform for scholars, policymakers, and practitioners to exchange insights on sustainable energy development, transition strategies, and the role of modeling in informing evidence-based policymaking.

The journal welcomes original research articles, review papers, and policy analyses covering a wide spectrum of topics, including but not limited to:

  • Energy systems modeling and simulation

  • Integrated assessment models (IAMs)

  • Renewable energy planning and optimization

  • Energy policy analysis and evaluation

  • Climate change mitigation strategies

  • Socioeconomic impacts of energy transitions

  • Technological innovation and energy efficiency

  • Energy security and global energy governance

Energy Modeling and Policy encourages contributions that bridge the gap between theoretical modeling approaches and real-world energy challenges. Interdisciplinary studies combining economics, engineering, environmental science, and public policy are particularly welcomed.
